Credit Builder Card
A secured credit card built to help establish or rebuild credit. Useful for buyers with a thin file, no recent credit, or who need consistent reporting to start moving the score.
What it does
The Credit Builder Card reports on-time payments to the major bureaus each month. Over time, consistent reporting builds payment history, lowers utilization (if you use it lightly), and adds a credit account to your file. It’s a tool, not a quick fix — the change happens over months, not days.
Who it’s for
- First-time buyers with a thin credit file — not enough open accounts or history yet.
- Buyers rebuilding after a credit event — you had a bankruptcy, charge-off, or stretch of late payments, and need fresh on-time history.
- Buyers without a recent credit card — you used to have credit but it’s been dormant.
How to use it well
- Use it for one small recurring charge (a streaming subscription, for example).
- Pay the balance in full each month before the statement closes.
- Keep utilization under 10% of the limit.
- Don’t close it — account age matters.
My Credit Guy — Credit Repair
A specialized credit-repair service for situations that need more than monitoring — collections, derogatory items, disputes, or anything else standing between you and approval.
What they do
My Credit Guy works on the specific issues blocking mortgage approval. That includes pursuing inaccurate items, helping with strategy on collections and charge-offs, advising on what to pay versus what to leave alone (some items hurt your score more if paid), and walking through credit-related qualifying questions.
They specialize in mortgage borrowers — not generic credit improvement — which means they understand which score changes will actually move underwriting forward.

- Buyers with collections, charge-offs, or judgments — items dragging your score down or showing up on the mortgage credit report.
